This lodge was a perfect family escape! We loved the beautiful nature trail leading to the stunning waterfall. Plus, the breakfast was a treat, especially with fresh fruit and local options.

My kids wished for a little more variety at breakfast.

A Relaxing Retreat Surrounded by Nature

We enjoyed our stay in a superior bungalow, nestled in the lush rainforest. Outdoor dining was delightful, especially with the friendly service from Natalie. Don’t miss the garlic fish! Remember to bring an extension cord for your electronics as outlets can be limited.

lush gardens, beautiful waterfall hike, cozy porch

The description of our bungalow was misleading!!! We expected a living room space but received just a cramped room. More attention to details like room specifications is necessary!!! Outlets are limited and caused inconvenience during our stay!!!

    natural beauty

    Perfect for a nature-seeking group

The bungalows were beautifully set in the greenery, and I really liked when we had breakfast with birds singing. The self-guided waterfall hike was amazing, we even spotted some monkeys along the trail, lovely!

It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but still reasonable for the experience.

    beautiful cabins
    serene stay
    exceptional dining
    communication challenge

Cataratas Bijagua Lodge, Incluye Tour Autoguiado Bijagua Waterfalls Hike offers a serene stay with beautiful cabins nestled in the rainforest. The open-air dining experience is delightful, especially with the exceptional garlic fish served. The lodge provides direct access to a waterfall hike, which was a highlight of my stay and not to be missed. The staff is accommodating and ensured we had a great experience during our work visit.

Communication was challenging due to the language barrier.

    beautiful gardens
    delightful breakfast
    waterfall hike
    limited lighting

The lush gardens were stunning, and we had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful breakfast surrounded by hummingbirds! The waterfall hike felt like a hidden gem (being alone in nature was unforgettable).

The bungalow could use a bit more lighting (it felt a tad dark at times).

We had an amazing time at cataratas bijagua lodge! The waterfall hike was fine and not crowded at all, which made it even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and set the perfect tone for our getaway.

    comfortable cabin
    delicious breakfast
    challenging access
    limited dining options
    rough trails

The cabin offered a unique stay with a lovely terrace overlooking the jungle, making it easy to enjoy the local wildlife, including toucans. Breakfast featured delightful local dishes, with the hosts accommodating our dietary requests. However, navigating to the lodge via rough gravel roads required a 4x4, and the limited service options meant we had to rely on takeout during our stay. Rainy conditions made hiking challenging, with slippery trails hindering our waterfall expedition.
